Exploring the relationship between two materials- glass & silver.
This collection originates from my time as an Artist in Residence at the Australian National University. I was learning to lampwork whilst drawing inspiration from the magnificent Australian flora & fauna. Examples of symbiosis in nature were so interesting and I wanted to reflect that in glass & silver. Early pieces from this collection relied upon both materials to function; a true symbiotic relationship. Current pieces simply explore colour. I want the glass to look fluid, as if growing from the metal. Bespoke requests are welcome; any colour is possible! Prices from £55.
